Turkish White Bean Stew with Beef

Ingredients
- 800 g white beans
- 600 g ground beef
- 200 g water
- 400 g onion
- 15 g garlic
- 90 g tomato paste
- 200 g bell pepper
- 250 g tomatoes
- 80 g olive oil
- 40 g butter
- 30 g flour
- 20 g pepper
- 20 g chili powder
- 20 g salt

Soak the white beans overnight and drain

Dice the onion

Mince the garlic

Dice the bell pepper

Peel and dice the tomato

You will need a pot large enough for the food.
Instructions
Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Add the minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
Add the ground beef and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until darkened and fragrant.
Add the flour and stir for 1 minute to coat everything.
Add the soaked beans, diced tomato, bell pepper, water, chili powder, and pepper. Stir well.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 45-60 minutes until the beans are tender, adding more water if needed.
Season with salt to taste before serving.
Let the dish cool. Divide into portion-sized freezer bags.
Use vacuumer to remove the air and seal. Label with date and contents.
Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or in microwave. Reheat in a pan or 4 min at 600 Watt in microwave until hot throughout.
